Joseph L. Harris
Managing Partner
Mr. Harris was a co-founder of Minerva in 1981. His expertise in a diverse range of real estate investments and his clear understanding of client desires have played a major role in the success of Minerva’s real estate portfolio. Mr. Harris has been personally involved in every real estate transaction undertaken by Minerva since its formation, dealing mainly with financial and tax structuring, project identification, and client and strategic partner relations.
Mr. Harris’ education includes a Master of Professional Accounting from Georgia State University, which was preceded by a Master of Arts in Teaching from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, also from Emory. Prior to the founding of Minerva, Mr. Harris was a certified public accountant and a high school teacher.
Brian Davison
Managing Partner
Mr. Davison joined Minerva in 1992 as the manager of the firm’s residential development projects and became a full partner in the firm in 1996. Leading the acquisition and development teams, he is dedicated to quality and profitability in the execution of Minerva’s development projects. Mr. Davison is also deeply involved in client and strategic partner relationships.
Mr. Davison received a Bachelor’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. Prior to relocating to Atlanta in 1992, he was based in Toronto as the Vice President of Development for a Canadian real-estate firm that specialized in industrial, retail and office investments for European clients.
Robin Peterson
Controller
Ms. Peterson, the Financial Controller for Minerva and its affiliated entities since 1998, has over 24 years of accounting experience in the real estate construction and development industry. She manages accounting and tax filings for over 70 investment entities, together with the US accounts of many of our clients.
Ms. Peterson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Kennesaw State University. Prior to joining Minerva, she was the Controller for Gleason, Floyd and Associates.
Todd Smith
Managing Director, Community Services LLLP
Mr. Smith joined Minerva in 1997. He runs Community Services, LLLP, Minerva’s wastewater treatment affiliate. Mr. Smith also manages all aspects of Minerva’s construction and development activities. His experience ranges from full development of four master-planned golf communities to construction and operation of a sewer treatment plant.
Prior to joining Minerva, Mr. Smith was based in Vancouver, Canada with Toronto Dominion Bank, where he was responsible for generating and managing a mortgage, loan and deposit portfolio. Mr. Smith is a graduate of the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) with a major in Management Studies and Economics.
Dan Cotter
Director of Zoning
Mr. Cotter joined Minerva in 2013. He performs due diligence, secures entitlements, conducts market analysis, and analyzes potential acquisitions. Dan holds a masters in urban planning and development from Georgia Tech.
Prior to joining Minerva, he worked for 3 years in real estate development, urban planning, and public policy.
Ben Rogers
Acquisition Manager
Mr. Rogers joined Minerva in 2015 as manager of Minerva’s land and property acquisition. Mr. Rogers holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate from Georgia State University.
Prior to joining Minerva, Mr. Rogers worked as a commercial broker in the Atlanta area focused on office and industrial real estate.
